Eye Disease Screening
Examination for conditions affecting the eye, so they can be identified early. Screening and referral by qualified optometry professionals.

Problems found early are easier to manage.
Screening looks beyond refractive error at the health of the eye itself. Findings are explained to you during counselling, in plain terms.
Where treatment or surgery is required you are referred to our eye doctor or an eye hospital; routine conditions are managed here with drops, spectacles or review.

No. Screening uses gentle, non-invasive checks. Some tests use a light or a puff of air, and the optometrist explains each step before it begins.
Anyone over 40, people with diabetes or high blood pressure, and anyone with a family history of glaucoma, retinal disease or early cataract. It is also worth doing if you notice sudden changes in your vision.
The optometrist explains the finding and refers you to an eye doctor for specialist care. The visiting eye doctors are at the clinic on Thursday evenings, 4:00 to 6:30 PM.
